Iran to Hold 4th National Festival on Innovation, Flourish Early February2012-01-26

TEHRAN (INIC)- The 4th National Festival on Innovation and Flourish of the Islamic Revolution’s Victory is due to be held in Tehran from February 4 to 7, 2012, in order to identify and support the top ideas in the field of science.

Over 1000 knowledge-based ideas have been sent to this year’s festival.

Similar to the previous festivals, scientific ideas will be presented in the six major sections 'Inventions Judgment', 'Commercialization of Inventions', 'Facilitators Corridor', 'International', 'Knowledge Based and Commercialized Companies', and 'Needs of Organizations from the Governmental or Private Sector'.

A sum total of 1050 plans have so far been sent to the festival, among which 376 plans have requested to participate in the commercialization section, 377 plans in commercialized and knowledge-based section, and 261 in the judgment section. In addition, 36 scientific plans have been sent to the international section from countries such as India, Oman, Malaysia, Italy, Russia, and Turkey.

The best ideas in each section will be rewarded at the end of the 4th National Festival on Innovation and Flourish. In the last year’s festival, 23 plans in the commercialized section, nine plans in judgment section, 10 plans in commercialized inventions section, three plans in international section, and one plan presented by the provincial offices of the National Genius Foundation were introduced as the best plans in the 3rd National Festival on Innovation and Flourish.

Registration in the 4th National Festival on Innovation and Flourish of the Islamic Revolution’s Victory will be available by January 25, 2012.
